Old Alleyns' won the toss and decided to bowl.
Perfect cricketing conditions at Dulwich College.
HAC got off to a solid start, with King scoring freely - before feathering an edge to the keeper.
The HAC reached a steady, if not slightly under par, 62, after 17 overs. Casey came to the crease, hitting the ball around the park, scoring 86 off 70 balls. Caviet supported well, with some excellent shots on his way to 40. We closed on 239 for 6 off our 40 overs. A good total, but, considering the conditions, at least 30 runs light.
Borton and Heranjal bowled very well at the start. Borton the pick of the bowlers (on both teams). Old Alleyns' could hardly lay a bat on him, with the majority of runs being edged to the boundary. Unfortunately, after the new ball spell and with any assistance now gone, the pitch was a bastmans dream and Old Alleys' cashed in.. We did drop a few hard chances and on another day it might have been a different result. However, the Old Alleys' boys batted well and thoroughly deserved victory.
Altogether a lovely day. Played with good spirits.
