HAC won the toss and decided to bat.
Conditions: Sunny.
Ben Fulton And Harry Lojan opened the batting with a partnership of 163 for the first wicket.
Fulton hitting the ball to all parts against his fellow New Zealanders - backed up admirably by Lojan, playing with control and poise.
After Fulton was dismissed for a dazzling 105 from 93 balls, it was all about Sean Parry...
Destroying the LNZ bowling he hit a brilliant 126 from 67 balls including 7 sixes at a strike rate of 188.06. Casey added a swift 26 and we declared on 332 off 46 overs.
A BBQ tea followed, whist we took stock of our monumental score.
The LNZ innings commenced and the first ball produced a wicket, Yadav catching off Edwards bowling.
Their innings seemed to be gaining a little momentum and the possibility of a draw (they where never going to chase 332) looked the most probable outcome.
However, Yadav's medium pace bowling -on a now dusty wicket- seemed to mesmerise the LNZ batsman and together with: Lawson Wright, Siva and then Heranjal, we managed to pull off a famous victory. Yadav picking up three wickets and also catching two, in what would have been a man of the match winning performance - on any other day.
A great victory.
Man of the match: Sean Parry.
Special mention to Michael Roberts and Ethan Wright for their first HAC wickets.
