The Regiment and Company are very kindly organising a Sports Club Presentation evening on Wednesday 21st September 2016, subject to there being sufficient uptake.

This will be an opportunity to inform them about the wider HAC (outside their club) and importantly about what the Regiment and Charity do, in order that we can become even better ambassadors for all things HAC. The regiment has changed a fair bit in the last few years and I, for one, will be interested to hear about their current activities. It is being held on a Regimental training night, so we will see a good proportion of the Regiment and have the opportunity, towards the end, to meet some of them. There will be a free supper after the presentation and this will be our chance to showcase the opportunity we have to offer military members. The squadrons' XI have several excellent players (even seam bowlers!) and we should be encouraging them to play more often when they have free weekends.

The timings for the evening are as follows:
1915 – Arrive – cash bar in Sutling Room
1945 – Introduction by Chairman of Sports Committee/short brief on Charity
2000 - Presentation by Regimental Recruitment Team
2045 – Watch Dismissal Parade
2115 – Drill Suppers and Recruitment stands for Sports Clubs

What do you need to do?
1. Register by 7th September – either directly at the following link www.hac.org.uk/home/hacscpe/ or I have set up a fixture on the pitchero website. It is important to do this to ensure that the event goes ahead and there is enough food.
2. Turn up. It is also important if you do register to then make every effort to attend.
3. Be aware of the rules for behaviour in Armoury House. i.e. a Jacket/Suit and Tie to be worn and mobile phones to be silenced and kept out of action.
4. Enthusiastically engage in the evening and demonstrate that we add value to the Company. This should help us in improving the relationship, which may have a bearing on everything from facilities to costs.
