Match report - Gaieties 2017

Obdurate batting and a lack of HAC fielders enabled the Gaieties to weather a very strong opening bowling attack. They then serenely progressed to 242 with opener T Schneider recording a century.

The HAC made a fist of the chase. Tom Morgan opened his season with a 43 and Liam Casey was in overdrive at the other end, notching up 115 whilst the potentially powerful late middle order all-rounders came and went to quickly at the other end. When Liam was finally out there was still too much to do with too few overs and Sidney Yankson and Hector Agnew calmly guided the game to it's conclusion.
