Stock exchange too strong on another glorious mid week game at the HAC
Stock exchange batted first in hot and sunny August day.
Perfect batting conditions meant taking wickets was difficult. The HAC bowled well in patches, Agnew bowling a decent spell form the City end with Mccluskey and Caviet bowling good lines and length, however, too many extras coupled with some good hitting and the August heat, saw The Stock Exchange reach a competitive 282 off their 40 overs.
The HAC batted in a valiant fashion, with Liam Casey making a superb 110. And at one point -Casey in partnership with Ed Jones- the HAC looked as though they could be the victorious side. But with the loss of Jones, followed by Casey, the total proved too great. Eighty runs short in the end.
A good days cricket.
Honourable Artillery Company CC won the toss and decided to bowl.
